Description
Annual award for American Indian or Alaska Native (with proof of descendancy) students currently enrolled at a tribal college or university in the state of South Dakota. Students will be selected from one of the following four colleges: Si Tanka University, Oglala Lakota College, Sinte Gleska University, Sisseton Wahpeton College. Student must have demonstrated academic achievement (have a minimum 3.0 GPA) and financial need, as well as demonstrated leadership, service and commitment to the American Indian community. All majors are eligible, but business, information technology and computer science are highly encouraged. Number of awards varies. Recipients will assist with organizing a professional development day offered at all four campuses.
